Life Services is a non-profit voluntary organization. There is no profit motive in its activities.

The financial integrity of the organization is maintained by independent fund raising activities to pay for operational costs. Memberships in Human Service Charities of America and other combined workplace campaigns and an annual Leadership Award Dinner are the primary sources of funding. Voluntary contributions are always welcome.

Contributions by families to benefit their disabled family members are invested in restricted accounts. Since these funds benefit specific individuals, they are not tax deductible; other contributions are deductible.

The investment philosophy of Life Services is governed by the needs of its members (disabled clients) as interpreted by the Board of Directors. An investment committee of the Board manages all organizational funds.
